T5: Your favourite film

Having to choose my favourite film is for me like asking a parent about whom is their favourite kid, an impossible task. When I'm asked this question I never know what to answer. Not just because I don't know, because I actually know it, but because there are too many films and maybe saying one can make me look like a certain stereotype.

To begin with, my favourite film I would say is '10 Things I Hate About You'. I watched this movie four years ago and made me love Heath Ledger who is still my favourite actor. I had never cried as much as I cried with this movie, in fact, I had never felt anything as strongly as I felt it with this movie. From the beginning of this film, it captivates you, it's true that the script is easy and that it's a chick-flick but then it has many elements that turn it into a heartbreaking and heartwarming series of events at the same time.

Then there are movies like Star Wars that I can't help but love because there is a very big part of me that is a geek and I can't hide it. Also, being a big cinephile makes me want to know how movies have evolved so like a year ago I started watching really old movies and I found out that I really enjoy 60s movies like 'Two for the road' or 'What a way to go!'.

So even though I can name my favourite movie, I never close my doors to any type of movie because I don't know if I will maybe find my second favourite movie in a french new wave film, for instance.
